Why do ppl not disclose numbers during cycle?

Post by S de Garmeaux » Tue Jan 19, 2010 3:50 pm

I am not trying to troll, just curious

It just seems like there are quite a few people that are very reluctant to disclose their numbers mid-cycle

i was wondering why

is it the idea that an adcomm will be able to trace it back to you on TLS and read your possibly inappropriate posts?

is it a personal security concern?

I think some people believe that AdComms have the time and/or inclination to search out individual applicants by their GPA and LSAT score in online forums to see if they've said anything negative about their school.

I think it is a combination of these. Just a heighten sense of privacy and a desire to keep online personas separate from IRL personas until the end of a time when they are under increase scrutiny that affects future prospects.
