Get any HS GPA -> Go to (some) college -> Get great college GPA -> Go to T14.
QFT. LSAT aside, anything more seems to be some bizarro dick-measuring contest, but what do I know.
anything to whip em out!!!!

I think I have you beat on this one. I dropped out after grade 10. I Never got a GED; grade 10 is still my highest level of high school education. Now I am admitted to HLS. I wonder how many people graduate from there without a GED/HS diploma
How come most,if not all, canadian applicants have above 4.0 gpa? Is the grading system different?
Grading systems differ by school. But it is certainly not the case that all, or even most, Canadian applicants have over 4.0 GPAs. It may be the case that most applicants with GPAs over 4.0 are Canadian. If this is true, then it might be because several (most?) Canadian schools give A+ grades, whereas my understanding is that the majority of American schools do not.

Now that logic is frickin' hilarious.

 Damn, dude, enjoy Harvard.
Thanks. God, I hope you're right. Went under review 1/6 and still no phone interview.

How'd you get into college w/o a GED? I call troll. If not... wow... I'm impressed. And yes, if this is true me = pwned.

I have a similar story. I dropped out of HS as a junior with about a 2.8 GPA. But I also had really great GED scores (I took it cold), got a great SAT (1400), went straight to a top-10 public-U, and may now be headed to T-10.

Lol... the GED is insanely easy. Not sure how it works in your state, but I took it cold and was one question away from perfect. I did reasonably well on the ACT (29), which I took completely cold as well... but my math score was ten points lower than my composite.

It happens if you test well, interview well, write killer essays and can show socioeconomic hardship. Hardship is the gift that keeps on giving. But you need to be talented, too.

You have a GED (which makes your journey impressive) but they're talking about someone who didn't even get a GED somehow getting into college and then law school.

Well you got into Harvard, but when you're slaving away at an elite NLJ250 job to pay back your student loans, I'll be blowing my big law money on women and booze. **Whips Dick Out**

The "low HS GPA --> top law school" is actually pretty easy to swing if you're from California. You could not graduate from high school here, go to community college, do well enough there to transfer to a top UC, and then be in good shape for the law school admissions process. My roommate nearly flunked out of high school, but is now a senior at UCLA rocking a 3.9X GPA because he went this route. If he gets a great score on the LSAT, he could go anywhere.

I know a guy who didn't go to highschool and went to law school. Its in a state that doesn't require an undergrad degree to pass the bar, and he is friends with the dean.

It can be even easier than your roommate's route, because a 2.9 CC GPA is guaranteed admission to UC Davis through the TAG program, while a 3.0 CC GPA gets you into UC San Diego, and both are T50 undergrads.

The main college in my city has entrance exams. If you score a certain level on the exams then they place you into first year classes. Once you have a certain number of credits then you can transfer into university without them looking at your high school transcript. It really is less difficult then you might expect...
