At my undergrad school, there are 4 required composition classes: 2 freshman comp classes, and 2 advanced comp classes. I was exempt from both freshman comp classes because of my ACT score, and I took the "advanced comp exemption exam" and passed, so I was also exempt from both advanced comp classes. I am worried, however, that admissions will look at my transcript and see a severe lack of writing and composition classes on my transcript. Is this a legit reason to write an addendum, to explain why I didn't take these classes? Also, I'm not sure if the exemption exam is on my transcript, I'm worried it is not. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

They won't care. Testing out of classes won't make a bit of difference; your GPA is the only thing that matters. Do NOT write an addendum.
