At my UG school (UO) they give students the ability to take two courses under a pass/ no pass designation, which makes a course count towards your credit requirements but does not give you a letter grade. Not sure if this policy is widespread, but my question is, for anyone who can answer, how does lsdas factor these P/NP courses into your g.p.a? I have been told that they count these classes as an automatic C towards your g.p.a calculation, and this sent chills down my spine.
Is this true?
how does this affect lsdas g.p.a? Forum

they are not counted. i had three P's on my transcript and my LSDAS GPA was higher than my UG GPA.

P grades are not counted, but NP grades are counted as F's, even if they're not counted in your UG transcript.
