I could probably be convinced to go to Columbia or Chicago with a lot of $$$ and I may apply to them.

But I have options other than law school, I want to work in academia, and I don't want to spend my hard-earned cash on application fees to these schools.

Barring a serious financial aid offer, I'm going to the highest school on that list. If I had a 180/4.0 URM and cured cancer, I'd still take Berkeley over anywhere, even Yale.
