Question about NYU Furman Scholars Program

Post by Chianti2013 » Tue Jan 05, 2010 4:21 am

Hi all,

Does anyone know when NYU generally informs those shortlisted for a Furman Scholars interview? I'm currently living abroad and honestly think I have a fairly good shot at this, but because they don't seem to pay for travel to NYC for the interview, I'm wondering if I should time my trip home in the spring with this opportunity in mind (the interview weekend is April 13 I think). The reason I would ask and not just do it in the first place is that this timing is quite awkward for me for a number of other reasons, and I'd like to avoid it if possible.

Anyone with any past experience or knowledge dealing with this process, please help...

Thanks!

Given your motivations (travel arrangements rather than impatience), I think it would be fine to contact the school with this question.

You probably figured this out- but NYU will kick in for overseas travel if you are a Furman finalist. It's best if you can combine with travel allwances to attend other school ASWs though- to spread out the expenses.
