I'm from NY too... and I type y'all.sibley wrote:Emory solicited, Notre Dame unsolicited this morning just like y'all (I'm from NY by the way... I just like typing y'all...). Also got one from DePaul.
I am sure it said binding. There is a whole paragraph talking about the fact that it is binding and that one should only apply for the PT - Early Decision option if one was sure Duke was their number one choice, and that a decision would be given 10 days after going complete if I were to register for it. But if accepted, I would need to drop all other applications.Sauer Grapes wrote:Are you sure it said binding? Mine specifically stated non binding and that I was free to apply elsewhere.cardinalandgold wrote:Just got unsolicited from Notre Dame. Also got a fee waiver from Duke Law this morning with an invitation to apply to their special "Priority Track - Early Decision" program, which is binding. I thought that Duke's Priority Track was a non-binding process? Is the Priority Track - Early Decision different from their regular Priority Track? Anyone else get this email?

Got Notre Dame with no LGBT.kwhitegocubs wrote:Same on the DePaul - no Notre Dame waiver yet (could it be the LGBT check box?)
This is what mine said:amann wrote:This is what mine said:
The Priority Track program allows you to submit your application materials at any time prior to the February 15 deadline. Your application fee will be automatically waived when you submit your application through LSAC. Upon completion of your file, your application will receive an immediate comprehensive review and you will receive a response within ten days. This is a non-binding program; if you are admitted to Duke, you may freely consider offers of admission from other law schools.

You may submit your application through our regular admission process at any point prior to our February 15, 2010 deadline, although we encourage you to apply as soon as you have your materials ready. Alternately, you may apply through our special Priority Track - Early Decision option. This is a binding admission program and is appropriate only if Duke is now your top choice for law school. If you choose this option, a decision on your application will be issued within ten days of the completion of your application and the submission of your Priority Track Early Decision Certification form.
This is the site that it links to. No one else has gotten this email?
My email to them included my senior year of financial aid screenshot + my lsat score.flowerpot wrote:Has anyone gotten a fee waiver from Emory unsolicited? I emailed them asking for one and they responded saying that they do not take requests for fee waivers. My numbers are awesome for Emory so whats up? Other people have said that they have emailed Emory and gotten one!
What the balls? I got an email from them yesterday saying that they sent out all of their merit-based fee waivers in November. By the numbers of people who have gotten in so far this year, im in with $. I wish they would have been more straight-forward with me instead of feeding me bs. Its my safety school, so i guess i have to pony up the money.sibley wrote:Also got one from DePaul.
