Emory's response:
Thank you for your interest in Emory University School of Law. I am responding to your request for an application fee waiver. We do not offer merit-based fee waivers by request. If you are selected to receive a waiver you will be notified prior to the March 1 application deadline.

Does anyone know if you can request priority track after you have applied?

Either they lie so they don't have to hurt your feelings... or the ones we've been getting today have been based on aid.

"Your request for a fee waiver has been approved. Please enter code ############ to waive the fee.

Sincerely,
Emory School of Law - Office of Admission"

Golden Gate just invited me to an open house. But I live very far away.

I hope ND gets around to me today

Does anyone know if having or not having a school on your LSAC school list has any effect on the school choosing to send you a fee-waiver?

I had a hidden ND waiver for a couple of days before the e-mail came.

That's what they sent me too. Maybe it's already free?

Just got a waiver from Pitt. It's a little below my ranking cutoff, even for waivers. Otherwise I'd apply... my bf's sister's in grad school there.

The USF fee waiver is mentioned three-quarters of the way down (in what is a very long e-mail).

Gmail rocks. I have fee waivers automatically tagged as such. No reading for me!

I discovered a hidden fee waiver from WUSTL after they sent their e-mail today. Not sure if the hidden fee existed prior to the e-mail.

I just solicited a bunch of schools for fee waivers. Got them from:
UVA
Lewis and Clark
Colorado

WUSTL said they only give out waivers due to need, which is obvious BS since people on this thread said they got them so I guess that means they don't like my numbers. Oh well, I'm applying anyways with a 166/3.3 (uva undergrad.)

Anyone get the USC waiver... the process seems kind of complicated, something about waiting for a hard copy of an application for a merit based waiver in the mail...has anyone done this already?

Notre Dame, Duke, WUSTL came in today, USC yesterday.

USC isn't a waiver, it's an email telling you that they are sending you an application for a waiver based on merit--

Early next week, we will be mailing you an information packet that will include our view book, several brochures, and a Merit-Based Application Fee Waiver form. The deadline for the Merit-Based Application Fee Waiver is February 1, 2010. In order to waive your application fee, we will need to receive your fee waiver form along with the Certification Page of the law school application by the February 1, 2010 due date.

So it's kind of a pain if you're not sure about applying there

Doesn't look like I got it. I was planning on applying there too. What are your numbers?

Also, was it unsolicited?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
