Hello TLS community, I'm trying to decide if I should write both a PS and a Diversity Statement or just a PS.
Basically, my PS is an "Overcoming Adversity" essay, it is a pretty good story. The only thing is, the adversity I am talking about makes me a very diverse student which would be a good topic for a diversity statement.
My question is - Should I either just submit it as a PS even though it shows I am a diverse student, or should I try and split it into two and submit it as a diversity statement, and make a new PS?
Thanks in advance.

It's kind of difficult to give any feedback without at least a bit more detail. If your PS is totally devoted to the topic in a way that highlights your diversity, then you likely don't need a DS. But it all depends on what you're categorizing as diversity and how it ties in to your current PS.
