Georgetown Optional Response - Top 10 List

Postby OtisRedding24 » Tue Sep 26, 2017 6:32 pm

Was thinking about doing my top 10 books for this. Good idea or bad?

It's not a bad idea, per se. It's also not terribly creative.

I did my top 10 list on my favorite modern adaptions of Greek Tragedies, but I put a twist on it and made them all about adaptions that current marginalized groups use as the backdrop to tell their stories.

So I think you can use it but also be creative what about the books that you include and think about what will make the adcom interested

Did you label the list or should it really be self-evident?

Well I wrote an introductory paragraph introducing the list and what it would be about, then I presented my list of 10 plays and the tragedy they corresponded to

When I applied to Georgetown, my Top-10 list consisted of my favorite law schools. I didn't list Georgetown--which, it turns out, is a major faux pas.
