Writing about specific legal experience in a PS?

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Nov 27, 2016 6:31 pm

I have been working as a Certified Paralegal for 7 years with a wide array of experience. To me, the reason why I'm going to law school has everything to do with specific experiences I have had throughout my career thus far. So, when I hear advice that writing about the law or legal experience is a bad idea, it bums me out since that's been my entire life since undergrad.

Any input or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Writing about a specific experience isn't a bad idea. Writing a mini-essay on your opinion about a specific law is a bad idea. The former is your experience and can't really be questioned, while the latter makes you look like an arrogant paralegal trying to lecture seasoned professors on how their field works.
