Weird health issue: appropriate topic for PS?

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Nov 10, 2013 1:16 pm

When I was a freshman, I developed Cholinergic Urticaria, which is an allergic reaction to my internal body heat. This held me back and made me depressed for two years, until I was able to find a way to cope with it (with antihistamines and rigorous exercise).

Is this an appropriate topic for a PS? I don't want to come across as a baby, and I know others have had more serious problems in their lives. But I also think it helps explain my lackluster performance in the first two years of my UG, and gives the reader an idea of who I am.

What do you think?

no. Pick another topic. health issues are for an addendum, not a personal statement.
