How personal should a personal statement be? My ps in not screaming "please feel sympathy for me" but it is very personal and direct.

Keep it classy and professional. 8)

Well I ask because I am not very forthcoming about my past, but if the law schools want to know who I am, then it will be quite personal.

Are essay services a waste?

The editing services for essays and personal statements. They review and suggest different ways to edit your ps or essay.

You could always post it on TLS and ask for feedback. If you don't feel comfortable posting, PM your idea and I'll give you my insight about it.
