I'm a science major and I just watched that movie. There's no way that made any sense. I'm going to prove it.
Is it ok to write about movies

Hmm pretty sure writing "This Hollywood Blockbuster screwed up its Science!!!" isn't that big of revelation...

On a more serious note, your PS needs to be about YOU when it comes down to it, and not whatever random topic you're interested in. Of course you can write about these topics, but the focus needs to be on SHOWING (not just listing) your strengths/ talents/ uniqueness through whatever story you're trying to tell or information your conveying.

Did you know the director of that movie is David Bowie's son? Check out his first movie, Moon, with Sam Rockwell. Was a pretty sweet "hard" sci-fi movie.
