Sending a similar essay to different schools

Postby NikaneOkie » Wed Jan 19, 2011 1:30 am

If one were to send a similar essay or addendum to similar schools, but make each appear as if the essay was particularly crafted for their school, is it possible that one school would inquire of another whether they received that same essay?

I.e. essays that say 'I really think your school is right for me' for x y and z reason... but you change that paragraph for three different schools?

Don't quote please.

Yeah I think having similar essays is pretty much standard procedure.

But don't write "If accepted I will go to your school for sure" unless you actually mean it

Yeah you only get one of those.

But as for your original question, that's pretty much the norm so don't sweat it.

Because it's highly fucking unethical, for starters.

relax. I was just curious if there were any ramifications, because there should be.
