Can I say,I found there is an increasing demand for x lawyer
I found there is an increasing demand for x type of lawyer.
I am not sure if I should use "there is" or "there was". The fact is still true today, but I found it some time ago.
Guess I shall use I found there is.....
Any helpful grammar experts?
Thanks

"there was" because you're referring to the past in the sentence

"There is" is what you should write. Compare: "I found out that my wife is pregnant." vs "I found out that my was pregnant." This first one clearly means that your wife is pregnant now. The second implies that you wife was pregnant, but no longer is.

I think the "I found" part is akward.

That what I thought about. Because the trend is still there. I just found the fact in a past time.
So bothering...

Yeah, it is better to say " There is .....", but in my ps I wrote, " When I explored further, I found that there is ....."
