How much time to write personal statement (advice needed!)

So I really want to go to Cornell Law, it's my #1 choice and i'm using their Early Apply option. My LSAT/GPA numbers are right around their medians.

I started my application essay yesterday and am almost done with it. I'm going to have a few people proofread it, give me feedback, and then send it in this weekend with my application.

My question is, am I giving myself enough time on the personal statement? It feels like a strong essay to me, but I've been reading about people on here who have spent months on their personal statement, so I'm second-guessing myself. Any opinions on the matter would really appreciated!

Just depends on what your writing process is. If it comes naturally and easy to you, then maybe you can finish your PS in a week. I'm sure it's certainly not unheard of. But others look like they are taking months. Read the feedback that people give you and see if you're ready to send it out after.
