I heard September is the worst, as the humidity gets up there as well as the temperature; that will probably be more what I was thinking upper 90s should feel like.
There are some great Thai places around campus. Thai Kitchen and Madame Mam's are my favorite. But there are several more.
My absolute favorite restaurant on earth is Ruby's. It's a barbecue place at the corner of 29th and Guadalupe. (Don't confuse it with Rudy's, which is a Texas barbecue chain restaurant with a couple locations in Austin.) Ruby's chopped beef sandwiches are pretty much the greatest.
