Sections are out! I'm in section 3. What's about everyone else?

Civ pro at 830 (shit that's early) and I get a class with the prof that I saw, and loved (so hopefully he's legit), when I visited campus at the beginning of last year. Sweet.

Yea I bet, although I was checking the bookstore site earlier (to get a little something for my mom) and it was down. It'll probably be up in the morn. I'm just going to buy whatever books I need to do hw w/beforehand and buy the rest after I get the loan money.

Remember that email that was sent to you about signing up for a technology section for Orientation (it's probably still in your gmail trash if you deleted it like I did)? There was a blank space there for our section number and it got filled yesterday.

Crap I'm the only section not taking civil procedure? O.o Was hoping for section 4 to avoid the early classes...

Anyone know if we can choose only a Legal Writing/Reading section from our division, and is that class pass/fail?

Section 3 what what!


For those of you worried about traffic in the morning, you should be fine if you hit the freeways at around 7-730am. Later than that you are looking at double to triple the commute time. I live in Santa Monica and I have to take the 10 up to Loyola so I have experienced this the hard way.

Does anyone know anything about these Section 3 teachers?

lawrence is teaching contracts for both section 3 and 4. i've heard he really knows his stuff but not a great teacher for 1L's, ie his lectures are a little tough to follow esp for beginners.

So I'm a bit confused. I was under the impression that there was only one evening section, however according to this, there are apparently two. When I clicked on the link in the orientation email, however, my program is just listed as "JD EVE."

Perhaps the Evening students haven't received their assignments yet.

Hey Snowboarder count me in for section 1 as well. I know Torts is supposed to be easier but is it good or bad that we're the only section taking it? I guess it works well if we could get the Civ Pro notes for next semester though. From what I read on the Loyola website LEGAL R+W is a GRADED class which pretty much sucks, but they could have changed it and I don't have the link at the moment so hopefully it is changed. And on the BRIGHT SIDE we only have 1 Friday class (sucks for division 3) at a pretty decent 10 AM.

Is anyone ordering their books online through the bookstore? I can't decide if I should get used or new books. I can imagine it could be distracting if someone wrote all over the used book.
