Access Group or All Student Loans: Which do you guys think is better?
Is there someone out there better than both of those?

Are we supposed to be applying for all this financial aid and what not or are we supposed to wait for the official letter in June i think it is. I am just as confused as you are and would also like some help if anyone can shine some light on the subject.

Ya to be honest, I don't know if the form we're supposed to send back into them includes GradPLUS (or other loans) or just Federal Stafford loans.

You were all suppose to get an estimated award letter (if you filled out your FAFSA by the priority deadline). On that letter it said what you needed to do to get an official award letter, which will be sent out in June. Usually, all you needed to do was to follow the instructions to access the fin aid website on LLS. This just asked you basic questions and what company you want to take loans from. On that website, they have websites linking you directly to the companies web pages so that you can compare the companies and choose the one you like. Once you've filled out all the information and sent them an additional documents which they would have listed in your estimated award letter, you're good to go. Just wait for the official award letter. Someone posted on the previous page that he/she called LLS and they said to wait until you get the official award letter before applying for GradPLUS loans.

Finding Roommates

Concern over finding a roommate and an apartment in a safe place to live is understandable, especially coming from out of state. Recognizing this, one goal we had in the Admissions Office this year was to beef up the tools we offer incoming students to aid in the process.

This blog is one tool, feel free to post in "Living in Los Angeles" about your requirements for a roommate, what part of town you'd like to live in, etc., and communicate with your fellow admitted students that way.

In the coming week, we will be rolling out a Social Network for students who have made their first deposit. This will be the first time we have offered such a feature and anticipate it being an outstanding way to communicate amongst each other. The network will resemble Facebook and Myspace. An e-mail with login instructions will be sent to all first depositors.

Have you guys seen this chart? It looks horrible. I thought Loyola was as good as any top 20 school, but this source claims Loyola doesn't even place as well as many tier 3 (4?) law schools.

that chart doesn't strike me as bad - the % of unemployed grads is still small. It's from 2005 though; I believe the Loyola website has more current employment stats.

I've seen an updated one where LLS grads get more top 250 law jobs. We all know that we have very good job prospects at Loyola (95.9% emp after 9 months, w/ 100% reporting). The guy is most likely a flame (first post), probably that guy from the other thread.
