Biz casual seems over-dressed from the descriptions of the activities. What day were you considering dressing business casual?

I'll probably just go with a T-shirt and jeans. How many of you guys are already living in D.C.? I'm moving on the 25th; thank God for our late starting date!

If anyone has any questions regarding living in DC (apartments, metro, etc) let me know. I'm not going to school until Fall 2009 (taking a year off of school) but I'm working in DC and living in Arlington. The apartment search process was a pain in the rear end, especially when I was coming from Michigan and trying to organize by email. Anywho, welcome out here and feel free to PM me :)

Classes started, so far so good. Abernathy not quite as intimidating as I had been told, but there is still time.

Section 2? It's now Friday, and I'm still waiting for him to make someone cry. Today he seemed almost...jolly. At least, jolly for Abernathy.

You thought wrong...the thread is called "Georgetown Law Class of 2011" And if you need to verify that the "2011" designates that it is for 1Ls please refer to the Cornell Class of 2011 in which they are discussing what they are going through in their first few weeks. If you would like one for prospective students go ahead and start it. Additionally, the facebook group does not provide the anonymity of TLS, so this is the perfect avenue to discuss the anxiety we are experiencing right now.

And you are incorrect sir, I'm a lady! My 'tar is not me, but my love. (It's ok, common mistake!)

Anyway, the visual aid was great. I love how he spent a good 5 minutes setting that up so that we could SEE that Will Ferrell was indeed hit and did indeed have his arm and face broken off. Awesome.

I'm a lady as well, sorry for the assumption. Today was not as great as Friday, in fact it was rather brutal. I think I'm going to quiz myself on what rule does what every day.

Today was bad. I think I'm going to make notecards of the rules as we go through them. Hopefully then I'll know the early ones when it comes time to study them all at the end. I have never been good at just pulling out exactly where it is. I'm more the "it's in rule 8, hang on a second while I look it up." I think that's not going to fly this time... :(

(And sorry, ma'am! M'lady?)

Had to tell Ludo that "Sacramende for a debate" is a fabulous place to be. I like that show far too much.

I couldn't agree more.

*edit - Also, do you ever think, even in passing, that maybe you want to go into maritime law so you can say you're a lawyer of the sea?

I am section 2. I have Abernathy! Whee! He just seems to have 'nice days' and 'not as nice days.'

Are you here? What section are you in?

GULC students: PLEASE HELP!

I am a 1L at HLS. My torts professor is Richard Lazarus, who is visiting from GULC. Can someone please access the online exams archive and forward me his past exams for Torts?

Please PM me! I'd be glad to return the favor.

You're already looking at exams? Is it a pressure thing, or a personal thing? Now I'm curious what it's like at other schools.

And I'll look into it. Our website is...not user friendly.

Pretty good, so far! Survived Abernathy's 'practice midterm.'

And yourself?

Do any of you know if the US State Department recruits from Georgetown Law?
