Possum-a car at Columbia? That's crazy! I hope to get rid of my car when/if I go to law school, especially if it's a place where they get snow.

UM just hired Rich Rodriguez as it's new football coach. I'm having a tough time seeing myself anywhere but Ann Arbor next year...

Hallelujah!!!

http://recruiting.scout.com/2/711864.html

Switching my football focus from pro to college, I'm forced to read about all these coaches and what the pundits say....since I'm very much a college FB noob. Going to ivy schools will do that to you. It's too sad to see what you're missing out on. Things are looking up though!

First off, there is something interesting happening. The current number three prospect in the country (number one according to some) may be looking at Michigan very seriously because of this hire. Apparently this guy Pryor started the sound off that Rodriguez was coming to Michigan. If this happens, obviously Mallett is history. After watching Mallett this year, I'm not all that sad about that.

There is also a chance that he'll draw more recruits over because of players who want to play the spread. If he can do that and retain the recruits that Mich already has, some say we could have the best recruit class in the country.

Hallelujah baby...hallelujah.

My dreams of at last going to a powerhouse sports school are not coming to an end!

The best thing about Rodriguez is that he'll bring some much needed team speed to the wolverines. Ohio state owns the big ten because they have just a little bit of speed. I can't wait to see what Rodriguez does with all that recruiting talent. Tressel's going down baby!
And regarding Mallet: I don't think you can really judge any Lloyd Carr-Coached quarterback fairly. Carr is terrible with his QB's. They inevitably under-perform. The guy didn't even start Tom Trump Supporter Brady for chrissakes.

I'm going to be quite interested to see what percentage of the entering class is made up of people on TLS.

You can add me to the "Accepted but undecided" list. I'm best classified as "Probable", but I'm not officially accepting until I get rejected from a certain school and hear about scholarship money from UM.

1) I'm bumping this thread. I will not tolerate that it's not at the top of the forum.

2) Everyday I become more and more set on going to Michigan (especially everyday that passes where I don't have my NYU decision). Michigan positively gives me the warm fuzzies. I'm definitely excited. In fact, I hope that the schools for which I would consider turning down Michigan reject me rather than waitlist/defer me, so I can start dreaming of Gothic structures during Christmas rather than bite my nails and write LOCIs in the spring.

Just to be clear, if it's between deferral and waitlist, I hope they reject me. If it's between acceptance, deferral, and waitlist, I hope they accept me. I strongly doubt HSCN will take a bite, though.

I've had similar thoughts. I'm waiting on Berkeley, but sometimes part of me wants them to make the decision for me. I just think I would have a lot of fun at UM. Boalt would be cheaper, Chicago would be more highly ranked, but UM has so many intangibles--things (like going to see a game at the big house) that I'm almost embarrassed to discuss with people who ask me about where I want to go.
