It's a pretty well-crafted lie. She says she got into Stanford, but mitigates that with rejections from other top schools so that we're less likely to question her. People would be raising an eyebrow if she claimed to get into HYS with her numbers, but when it's just Stanford, with rejections at the other two, we're not nearly as skeptical.

This nonsense about Michigan being better for her desired career track is laughable. You can do just about whatever you want with a HYS degree, and she knows that better than anyone on here, given her status as queen law school nerd.

Now, I figure I've got about t-minus 12 hours before I get a dose of her nonsensical rhetoric as a retort. Anybody want to take the under?

What do you care? Seriously, get a life of your own. It doesn't matter if what she says is true or not, there is absolutely no reason to question because it isn't any of your business.

I'm down for a tasty beverage as well, but I won't be in town for a while yet.
I should be settled into my Igloo and acclimated to arctic temperatures by Aug 15th, so maybe some time around then.

On a side note, if this sangria at Dominicks doesn't give me the O-face, I want my 44k back.

I just got confirmation that the sangria is indeed good (and thats coming from someone who rarely drinks).

If you go up in this thread a few pages I posted a link to the UM 2011 facebook group. You'll have better luck asking there.

Yay PK, you're transferring to Michigan? And you're bringing your PIPBoy?

have you joined the 2011 FB group yet (even though you're not 2011, you need to join us)?

Hey all, just wondering if any of you have been able to view the Fall orientation schedule. I went through the admitted students site --> orientation --> Fall orientation schedule, but I'm unable to open/view the PDF.

(just so I have a meaningful reason to bump this thread and get it going again....)

Fall starters - when is everyone getting to Ann Arbor? Anyone there yet? I'll see you all next week.

And summer starters - how's it going?

Today is the last day of classes for we summer starters, and we have exams Tues/Thurs next week. Accordingly, we have all reverted to a Lord of the Flies-esque struggle for obscure study aids, professor office hours, and quiet spots in the library.

Actually it's very laid back here, I think most of us are just looking forward to getting exams over with, rather than entirely dreading them. And I'm really excited to meet all the fall starters!

You can get your section assignment if you look at your class sched on wolverine access.

I'm not in EFGH:( I wanted the profs... but I guess on the bright side I don't get the gunners or the 8am classes.

Anyone else with the Darrow have Wolverine Access saying you have "Future due" of $27000?

I'm assuming that everyone has the "Future Due", and that when financial aid is disbursed, which I believe is disbursed when classes officially start (September 2nd), that the "future due" will be paid.

Any '11 student who got in (and perhaps got some money) with a 169/3.63 or something similar?

I like my odds on LSN, but that only tells me so much...

169/3.63 seems in the reasonable range as far as pure numbers are concerned - but that's just compared with the entering class for 2007 stats. We don't know the official 2008 entering class stats yet (averages may have gone up), and for the class entering 2009 averages are likely to go up, as signs point to an increased competitiveness for this cycle.

But Michigan seems to at least like an interesting candidate to go along with those "in the range" numbers. And for money, you probably need to bring something more than that (above the range numbers and/or an interesting background). But this is a question more for the "what are my chances" forum.

I've posted there and done the research. I was just hoping to hear from a few people who were accepted and will be attending, since I don't see many in the "what are my chances" forum. Thanks :D
