I think your initial step is a good start. Then kind of work up the ladder with a hopefully increased BU offer.

I'd advise getting an email over to BU sooner than later. I had seen on LSN that some top students had their offers bumped up, and I believe need based aid info should be coming out soon. Especially since the deadline is like 2 weeks away

Also, be prepared for those to be your offers. Obviously keep asking, even after deposit deadlines, but BC/Vandy seem pretty committed to their stance of first offer is best offer.
