Has anyone done or have heard of creative ways to make some money during law school? I know 1L is the year where is it most strongly recommended to not work, but has anyone worked for the first month or two of each semester before the workload picks up?

i know someone who spends 12 hours a week giving LSAT lessons. 6 on Sunday, and the rest spread out through the week. He charges 45 an hour and is able to pay the entirety of his housing off of it. Says it doesn't get in the way of 1L at all since he gets most of his work done during the week right after class.

Faculty research assistant - at my school it pays decently, gives you some experience tangentially related to law (read: you can say this is the case at OCI), and it gets you a professor in your corner come OCI for recommendation purposes.
