Non-Custodial Parent Info for Finaid Forum

Anyone have experience on how receptive T14 schools are when students request a waiver for non-custodial parent's financial information? Language on the finaid websites sounds pretty daunting: they only waive in extremely rare circumstances, etc.

I agree with you it sounds pretty unlikely. If this is something you want to pursue I'd do it right away (Columbia for example wants a written request). Even if you think you might qualify for an exception, if possible I'd suggest gathering the financial info right away so you can meet deadlines if the schools say no.
