How LRAP Works? - couple of questions

Postby jwinaz » Wed Feb 06, 2013 9:53 am

a.) Does a person have to get LRAP out of law school directly (their first job) or can you work a few years in a non-LRAP eligible job and then come and do a public interest job or government job and be LRAP eligible down the line?

b.) How much does LRAP usually pay off?

a) I know at least some schools require you to go straight into public interest after graduation. Some don't.

b) Depends on the school. Depends on how much you make. Depends on how much your debt is. Some schools have calculators on their websites, so you can go and plug in different numbers to see how much the award would be.
