FAFSA/Need Access for Merit-Based Scholarships

I'm not going to qualify for any need based aid but apparently some schools also require these forms to be considered for merit-based scholarships. Is there any point for me to submit the forms to schools that don't require it for merit-based aid? Or I guess alternatively is there any potential disadvantage to doing so?

Need Access is the most stupid shit ever. I can't believe I have to pay $28 for the privilege of slogging through this horrible form.
