I was wondering if/how i could take out additional loan funds for the second semester. I already have GradPLUS loans I would just need 2-3K more

First, speak with your school's financial aid office. If you can convince them it's for something "warranted," they can probably help you out, especially if it really is only 2-3k.

If you didn't take out the entire amount offered by your school, you may be able to take out what you previously thought you wouldn't need.

If you took out the whole amount but have a legitmate additional expense (the example I usually hear is childcare costs), your school might get you some more loans.

If you took out the entire amount and just suck at budgeting, you're probably just SOL.

The only people who can help you are in the financial aid office at your school.

I took out well under the amount my school will allow me to take out

Then just talk to your school's financial aid department. They can usually release to you whatever amount of the school loans you didn't take out.

Try to minimize the GradPLUS loans and private loans you take out because the interest rates are too damn high.
