HLS Financial Aid and Changed Circumstances

I submitted an aid app at HLS last year, and they offered me a tiny amount of grants (negligible). I didn't end up attending last year though, as I deferred for a year. My family's financial situation has changed significantly in the last year, and thus on this year's aid app I will be reporting significantly less assets and a high amount of personal debt. These numbers will be legitimate, not skewed, but I'm wondering if HLS might be suspicious since the numbers are quite different than what I reported a year ago. Will they judge my application based on these current numbers, or perhaps inquire and ask for proof of familial assets (beyond the tax returns required)?

Thanks for any help.

Schools can always ask for additional proof/information, even in the absence of changed circumstances. You should contact the financial aid office directly.
