Can depend on their other assets and debt... That makes it hard to give an exact number. A parent in an urban area can have a 120k salary but have a house in foreclosure nowadays or about to short sale (with the mortgage being more than the value of the house) and would qualify for needbased aid.

Also schools have their own formulas so there is really no answer to your question. I would still fill out the aid forms. My uneducated guess would be 100k+average assets would not receive need-based aid.
