HLS tuition/COA trend - normal? Forum

Managed to find this data thanks to a source tip from another poster and thought I'd share. This is the COA and tuition history of Harvard Law School over the last 7 years.

'06: 59,300 (37,100)
'07: 62,400 (39,325)
'08: 65,200 (41,500)
'09: 67,900 (43,900)
'10: 70,100 (45,450)

I was actually somewhat surprised that it wasn't a higher growth rate. Seems to be pretty flat at ~$2000/yr on the tuition side, which is still higher than inflation (4-6%) but much less than some of the figures I've seen bandied about lately.

Curious what people's thoughts on this are. Is this normal, or are most schools raising costs faster than HLS? Does that rate seem reasonable?

A 5.4% average increase isn't bad at all. In comparison, Berkeley's in-state tuition went from $11,000 in 2000 to $44,245 now, which is a 15% average increase (--LinkRemoved--).
