LSAC fee waiver dependent status

Post by pilawpcv » Mon Apr 12, 2010 7:02 am

I'm highly confused about the fee waiver dependent/independent status. I applied last year and was denied for income. When I started to refile today, the application says I'm now independent. I'm thrilled (because I'm in the Peace Corps and make $200/month), but I'm afraid there's an error. I thought you were dependent until 24, you got married, were in the army, or had kids. I'm 23, single, and childless...

Is this a new thing, or am I simply being obtuse?

Actually, I answered my own question- it's if you will be 24 this calendar year. Just incase anyone else was wondering.
