stupid question

Post by belo28 » Thu Jan 28, 2010 2:15 pm

Sorry, I am super new to this financial aid thing. I have a very basic question- are we allowed to apply for fin. aid for schools we're still pending a decision at? I see that most deadlines are March 1st, and I'm on a couple of waitlists which could potneitally go on for the rest of the summer and I don't want to get cut off from aid if admitted. Also, do they review these apps AFTEr the deadline, or are they typically rolling decisions at the schools? thanks for any info.

From what Ive read they will get your Finaid materials but not review them until youve been accepted and they start making offers. Several schools openly recommend getting your material in by the priority deadline, even if not admitted, so as to expedite the process.
