If you're reapplying to a school

Postby Jimlaw123 » Wed Feb 14, 2018 10:29 pm

Hello,

Just have a question about "Reapplying", should I be changing all my letter's or statements? Even my personal statement? Or switch it up?

Just pondering, as I'm reapplying to a couple this year.

Thanks.

Sincerely, JimLaw123

There are so many ways to answer this...

If you're reapplying, you must address why you didn't get in the first place (yourself). Was it the numbers? Your LSAT? Your GPA? Maybe you applied at the wrong time (of their admissions cycle)or the wrong school(s)? Your next is to remedy that, as this would be before you do anything to your personal statements, let alone your application.

Notice that none of what I've stated above really answers your question. That's because your OP is vague. Vague questions can only be answered with equally vague answers. You cannot "change" when you don't know what to "change".

As an attorney, the placement of a single comma could be the difference between your client winning/losing livelihoods/money/freedom/custody. Specificity, is not only your friend, but is a job requirement. Law school is meant to prepare you (at least minimally) to be an attorney. As an applicant to such schools, you should be aware of this now.

Being on the other side, I feel for what you're going through. But I can't offer advice when I have no idea what to advise on.

My $.02
