Getting to a top 20 school, without a stellar LSAT

Postby Jimlaw123 » Tue Feb 13, 2018 4:54 am

Hello, to all.

Just would like to know advice on those of you, that were in the 150-158 range, that got into a T-14 or a decent school.

How did you tailor your applications, diversity statements, what did you make a point about in you essay's, what did you talk about?

I want to try and go to a pretty good school. I have a lot of triumph's in my industry, creating companies, etc.. that I think looks good, but I want to "sell myself", as I feel that's the most important thing. Any advice on the school, and what you did, or application was like would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah none of that matters without a better LSAT.

Sell yourself with a better LSAT score. What's your GPA? At a 150-158, you have almost a 0% chance of admission to a T-14.

Georgetown's 25th percentile for the LSAT is 162, as an example. The percentile difference between a 158 and 162 is roughly 75th to 85th, which is a pretty big difference. Do you best to break into 160+ for a shot at a better ranked school. Even then your GPA would have to sell it.

Don't listen to the negative comments. PM me. I had a 158.3.7 GPA and got into more than several T20s and two T14s.

I got into a T30 with a 140 something LSAT. You would probably be a candidate for a LSAT addendum. However, I would work hard to get a higher score nonetheless.
