I've known my firm placement for a couple days now and haven't heard from them yet :/ (I'm trying to get a hold of former SEO interns with the same placement but everyone's focused on finals now)

Since most of us won't be starting until June there's probably no rush to get specifics for a little while.
Yeah just hoping to get the exact firm dates nailed down until I sign anything lol
don't even get me started

I'm really curious as to why HR has not reached out if I'm supposed to start earlier. I keep thinking about parking costs (downtown parking garage = fee = I'm going to need a badge or ID on me and my car and to know where to park so I can be validated later), what programs do they use/what are individual clients like, what type of work will I be doing, how am I billing my time and how extensive is our billing training going to be, and etc.
Where are you coming from that you're taking your car?

Anyone else thinking of taking their car? If so, where are you placed? Thanks.
Clearly not NYC lol.

Bringing a car is totally dependent on where you are, what your housing budget is (e.g. living with my sister's friend's family vs apartment vs hostel OR if you are doing SEO in a city you are going to school in).. Since I'm starting earlier and I'm not dealing with a subway system, I need my car.

But yeah, large firms' parking garages = fees that may either be covered by the firm OR deducted from your paycheck every month. We won't know anything about this or insurance among other things (like where's the case assignments coming from) until we hear back from the firm's HR.

The email makes it seem like the firms, for the most part, don't know who their intern(s) will be yet.

What kind of info does it contain (e.g. dates, salary, supervisor, etc) if you'd be willing to share?

I think acceptances may be done for this summer. There were 99 adresses on a webinar email. I can't imagine that there will be any other acceptances.

Thanks for the information. At this point, I can't imagine SEO has the gonads to send a rejection email to those of us in the Wasteland. So, Ill be using your information as such. It would be an untruth to say I'm not a little(lot) jealous. Good luck everyone. Kick ass this summer and law school in the fall.

I have a friend who was in the program last year and one who was accepted this year. If everyone who got accepted is as accomplished as them, I don't feel bad about not getting in.

To everyone accepted, you should not only be happy you got in, but extremely proud of your accomplishments (you probably already know this/are). Congrats, everyone!!!

Anyone ever attended a webinar? Is this something involving a webcam where we are expected to dress up? Or more like a video? I need answers! (Currently traveling and I want to know if I should reach out to my SEO recruiter about this or just "attend" the webinar)

For a webinar, you click the link and it takes you to a website. Your computer might ask for you to turn on your computer, but any questions you have can be typed in. There will be a video of the SEO crew or a SEO PowerPoint and it doesn't require you having a camera or anything. You'll want headphones and stuff to listen though.

Congrats to All! There are some who still have not hear back on acceptance to SEO. Does anyone know why one would not be accepted? Also is there a second round of acceptances? Are they still making decisions on acceptances?

It appears there are around 90 spots and one would hope that there are more than 90 under represented minorities in the top law schools so decisions have to be made. I think they weighed your school choice > lsat > interview. These are all assumptions though...

I'm assuming that they took down our names from the webinar last night so they know who to send resumes out today for.
