The general consensus is that schools will take your highest lsat since that's what they submit to the aba.

I have not heard of any cases where folks have taken it three times and have gotten into the schools you mentioned, that doesn't mean that there aren't any. In terms of my demograph, and grade point average we're in the same boat. I haven't taken any test yet. To be completely honest, HYS may be a long shot because you've already taken it two times and have not reached at least 165. That' score seems to be the lower end for African American males as it pertains to acceptance and HYS.(even though for Yale it may be a few points higher) You still prob. have a good shot at a lot of top schools though. You may have a great application to make up for the LSAT score though, so go for it anyway bruh, make them say no if your goal is HYS. With the exception of prob. Yale, who knows what could happen with applications as low as they are, especially for our demographic group. Make sure you're at least hitting your target score a few times before you take the next test though.

This may help you too, I don't think anyone took the test three times, but there are a good amount of folks in here who give good advice to minorities who want to go to YHS viewtopic.php?f=14&t=245831

Great GPA. If you increase your LSAT to at least 164, then you should apply to all T-14 law schools and see what develops. Any score in the 160s coupled with a 3.84 GPA & AA male URM status almost certainly will yield several T-14 offers.

I just got into H off the waitlist with a 3.83/161, so it is definitely possible (AA Male). There are really only 3 potential reasons I was waitlisted (at least I think): 1) I applied/completed late in the cycle (most likely), 2) I'm K-JD so they might have questioned WE, and 3) my LSAT score.

If you have everything else in your app solid and your LORs are done and ready, I would apply very early with what you have. Meanwhile, prepare for the Oct LSAT and update your file with that. I don't think taking it 3 times really matters that much, though I know some people write addenda to explain why they did it if they feel it's necessary.

Best of luck!

Has anyone had success with three LSATs? The last score is my PT average, I'm prepping for a third LSAT, and have not yet taken it yet.

Please, give me all the advice yall have regarding three LSATs and HYS.

HYS might be out of reach, but you will almost definitely get into the mid to low T14, and llkely with a lot of money.

So you are on the forum, giving advice, and you haven't event taken the LSAT yet?
Says the dude making HYS their end all be all for super facile reasons.

How come no one is interrogating the central premise of this thread? When is it ever a good idea to be HYS or bust?

Eta: the bottom line is, you might scrape by to Harvard if you interview ok and have a good application with the numbers you have.

A 164 would put you in a better position

No, I only plan to take it one time. I don't think the amount of times one takes the LSAT is a good indication of whether someone can give advice. If that were true you might not need to ask this question. If you feel my advice is not accurate, you don't have to listen to it. You can listen to others who have basically said the same. I'm here to help man, that's all. Like I said, if you want HYS go for it. It's possible you could knock the LSAT out this time and have at chance at Harvard. Good luck to you.
