I had attended a different university for my first semester of my undergraduate career. My GPA at my current institution if a 3.64. My grades for that first semester were not the best (C+, A-, B, A(1hr), A-(5 hr)). Does this affect my GPA?
Also, neither of these institutions offered A+. Do I lose out on that extra .33 GPA points?!?

Re: GPA questions
Yes, courses for all UG institutions attended before you graduated count for your LSDAS GPA.
Don't worry about the A+ thing. That is why LSAC normalizes GPAs.

If I were to calculate that GPA on a 4.0 scaleanubis1911 wrote:Correction as I just looked at my unofficial transcript:anubis1911 wrote:(C+, A-, B, A(1hr), A-(5 hr)). Does this affect my GPA?
3.00 B
1.00 A
3.00 C+
5.00 A-
3.00 A
3.00 * 3.0 = 9.0
1.00 * 4.0 = 4.0
3.00 * 2.3 = 6.9
5.00 * 3.7 = 18.5
3.00 * 4.0 = 12.0
Total Points = 50.4
Total Credits = 15
50.4/15 = 3.36 GPA

Re: GPA questions
Sorry I didn't finish. So 3.36 for one semester of 15 credits.
Assuming you took about 100 credits at your new school and got a 3.64 then:
3.36*15 = 50.4
3.64*100 = 364
Total Points = 414.4
Total Credits = 115
GPA: 3.60

Re: GPA questions
Oh ok that changes things.anubis1911 wrote:I have taken 73 credits for my 3.64 GPA and I have 265.960 credit points altogether
Then your GPA is
265.960
+ 50.4
= 316.36
316.36/(Total Credits) = GPA
316.36/88 = 3.60
Ok so it changes nothing...
