The latter, and you can't take notes.

Not sure if this happens over Skype, but it certainly does in-person.

But the questions they ask you are like LSAT questions? what strengthens the author's argument, what gaps are there, what evidence are they missing, what's the main point?

I guess I've been revolving around the LSAT for so long I can't think of what else they'd ask me about an article that wouldn't be an LSAT prompt.

thanks

No, it's more like critical questions.

Thanks blackbirdfly. I got Stanford's call Friday morning and Harvard's call later that afternoon. It was pretty friggin' surreal. Definitely keep wondering whether they're going to take it back lol.

Unfortunately, I am not in a position to reveal such information nor would it be fair to those who interviewed without such knowledge.

Maybe you should search the main SEO thread for examples to see if it's been discussed.

Yes frozen, this. Those interviews are not for employment, they are for admissions. If you check the employment threads, you don't see people revealing the questions they were asked at OCI to the same people that are competing for those OCI jobs. You being more prepared would hurt us because we were not given the luxury of knowing the questions before hand.

Yes, absolutely. Any AA's (and other URMS) would be doing a disservice to themselves if they do not become members.

Yes. I always make sure I ask admissions about the strength of their schools BLSA. I was told UVAs frequently wins national BLSA chapter awards, which is a huge selling point for me.

I've had some really great experiences after reaching out to members of BLSA. These interactions have definitely shed a whole new light on certain schools. Some of them are now higher up on my list then they would've been.

That's awesome. I know Michigan has a pretty active BLSA chapter as well.

Good idea, Femme! Hadn't really thought of reaching out to current members. I might look into this a little more once I stop obsessing about getting in and start focusing on choosing an actually school.

So I applied to Howard last week, they sent me an email that said my app is complete and under review, but i didn't get a status checker in the email. Is that standard??

Yeah, I think it's standard. At least that's how my process went. They sent me an application status checker once there was "action requested." Happened around a week to two weeks later..
