This is a stupid question, but how do you know which schools allow you to submit a DS? Also if a school doesn't specifically have an option for one, is it recommendable to submit one as an addendum?

P.S. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone!

Normally it's the question that asks in more words: X Law School cares about the diversity of our student body. what other factors do you have that contribute to this?

And yeah I did add it as an addendum to a couple of schools I think.

I sent a diversity statement to all the schools I applied to whether they asked or not. That may have been overkill though lol.

Checking in. I have been dodging law school for 3 years.

AA Male. I am dropping out of my PhD program at the end of the year and going to law school next year.

3.11 LSAC GPA. Looking for Georgetown specifically, Harvard if I can get 167+ (The Dream), but I have made a list for the possible score ranges I may land in.

Taking the Feb LSAT...hold me

Welcome bankrupt!

Also, did anyone apply to Howard? Did you all write separate personal statements for them? I read their instructions and it said something about detailing something Howard specific as it relates to your career goals. I'm trying to see if it's worth my time to even do this.

After the LSAT how did y'all's gut reaction relate to your actual score?

I applied to Howard. Didn't write a separate PS. Accepted with full tuition scholarship. If the one you've written is strong I wouldn't write another one.

Is Feb your first take?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Feb too late to apply this cycle? It might be advantageous to you to sit this cycle out and apply early next cycle?

I walked out of the June test feeling like it was my best performance and it was. I think if you've taken over 15 or so tests you could have a good idea of how you did.

My gut reaction was pretty dead on both takes. Both times I guessed my score give or take about two points. However you felt about your December score right after taking it is a more accurate gauge than how you feel weeks later.

His cycle would very likely be better if he applied next fall, but he could still have a very good cycle applying in early march, Esp with a score near his target.

May as well throw the apps out in march and see what happens IMO

Interesting. I was under the impression that deadlines were mid February.

It was very, very close.
But I heard of a 180 last cycle that nearly cancelled after leaving the test center, so not everyone is as spot on...

I know some people who took the feb LSAT last cycle and still got into a lot of great schools, so it's highly likely.

Also, Harvard is allowing students who are taking the LSAT for the first time in February to apply until March 1 because of the weather cancellations for the December LSAT.

See that's where I'm confused. I heard about Harvard's extension and it made me assume, because they made a special announcement, that most apps are traditionally due before then. Clearly I'm mistaken.

A lot of apps for schools are due February 1, but some schools such as Berkeley will accept the February LSAT as long as the rest of your application is submitted by that deadline.
