You're not allowed to wear a hoodie because you could have things in the pockets to cheat. LSAC is paranoid. Some proctors are lenient though.wlee1220 wrote:This. yea depending on the proctor they don't really care. There's a bunch of things you shouldn't have that some proctors don't care about. For example, some people (NOT ME) brought their cellphones to the exam and all the proctor did was tell them to put it on silent/turn it off. I would never bring a prohibited item to the exam smh idk why some people thought they could. They probably didn't read the rules.mandyjay11 wrote:Thats soooo weird... Oooh I see!
Now that I think about it, I was kind of mad at the proctors at my last test because this girl was still working while they were collecting the tests.

This has to be the most active URM thread in years! Congrats on the acceptances so far, and good luck going forward.
So far I'm in at GULC, and at UT with a full-ride. I'll probably post my stats at the end of my cycle, but I'm a AA male with a couple years of WE.

So I'm hoping being under review at Penn, NU and now Duke translates to having a decision soon, preferably before Santa starts delivering gifts for Christmas.

Were you able to upload a diversity statement for all top schools you applied to?

Did you submit to Duke RD or PT?AAJD2B wrote:So I'm hoping being under review at Penn, NU and now Duke translates to having a decision soon, preferably before Santa starts delivering gifts for Christmas.
Because I've been under review since 11/18 RD, and don't expect anything anytime soon.

No, although a lot of schools (i.e, Berkeley) seemed willing to attach a diversity statement to my already-uploaded application.Black_Swan wrote:Were you able to upload a diversity statement for all top schools you applied to?
With the exception of Yale, I didn't feel like I wasn't getting the ability to express my URMness.

Yes I actually did one for every school I applied to. I just uploaded under my personal statement header if it didnt have one of its own.Black_Swan wrote:Were you able to upload a diversity statement for all top schools you applied to?

No shade, but the phrase "running UGs" in reference to dating (preying on?) undergraduate coeds is kind of creepy, no?

Was anyone else's request for a fee waiver from GULC and Columbia declined? Sucks because GULC was one of my top schools. I took my LSAT in June, so I probably won't be getting an unsolicited waiver if I haven't gotten one already, right?
