Top Law Schools

Midnight, I too have had this attraction to engineers and computer science majors throughout UG. I really only see myself marrying someone with some sort of college degree. I would never marry a doctor (hate the hours), but I would marry a dentist. I would marry someone with a degree in business as well. Definitely not interested in marrying a lawyer though. I'm hoping to end up in NY OR DC ultimately, and I'm open to interracial dating, so I don't think my options will be limited.

That's so common in the DC area. I know several men from there who do/have done this.

Oh no not at all. I am in no way arrogant. However, I am proud of where I came from and how hard I had to work to put myself in this position. I just have always had in the back of my mind what if the relationship doesn't workout, will she take the kids, will she find me being a lawyer intimidating. etc...

You just need a strong women. I don't know what you're used to dating, but you need to just up your standards.

Exactly I think you hit the nail on the head. I think I just need to reevaluate who I can see myself with long term.

Okaygo, there's no way to prepare for the GTown interview, just relax and remember to articulate your opinions to the best of your ability.

For the shirt, a blouse or nice sweater in any color. I tend to avoid the shells that I would normally wear under a jacket because they're usually short sleeved/sleeveless and so too casual without the jacket (which I think are usually too formal for business casual). Good luck at the interview!

Whoops I missed the business casual part or your question. I didn't actually wear business casual, I wore business professional, and I saw people there wearing both. If you do decide to wear business casual, slacks and a nice shirt and flats should be fine.

Yeah I have no desire for a lawyer or a black male doctor (I dated one that was in med school and he thought he was the holy grail of all men. Needless to say, he wasnt.)

I do want to make sure I find a guy with at least a 4-year degree with an entreprenurial spirit. I'm open to interracial but I dont think other races are attracted to me because I've never been approached.

I have a thing for Italians, but there isn't a large Italian population in the city I attend school in. Nor is there a strong black middle class, but that's another issue for another time.

I have a thing for Italians, but there isn't a large Italian population in the city I attend school in. Nor is there a strong black middle class, but that's another issue for another time.

I've had white guys tell me that they don't approach black women because they assume that black women are only going to be interested in black guys and they don't want to get rejected. But I've also found that it depends a lot on where you are. At home in the midwest, white men literally never approach me. At the area around my UG, when I roll out to a bar of coffee shop with a book to read/study, only white men approach me--and I've heard from friends out there that it's because I didn't "look like" I'd be interested in black guys. The stereotypes involved with all of this are crazy.

The best solution? You approach the guys you're interested in instead of waiting. Gets the job done.
