Sup y'all. Just checking in. First preptests in the low 160's and I start a Kaplan program (for free!!) in a couple of days. Taking the December LSAT and nervous/excited cause it's all on the line now. Best of luck everyone.

Don't use Kaplan. Part of your prep should be to read the classic LSAT prep threads on TLS. NoodleyOne's guide and Pithy Pike as well as a few others. For reals though, don't use Kaplan.mt2165 wrote:Sup y'all. Just checking in. First preptests in the low 160's and I start a Kaplan program (for free!!) in a couple of days. I didn't follow these exactly, but they were definitely the basis for how I ended up studying. For everyone that's currently prepping for October... well good luck. For those people that are starting to prep for December or later do not underestimate the resource that you have in TLS. This is probably the highest concentration of 170+ scorers that you'll find, and most of them are more than willing to tell you what they did to get that score.bizzybone1313 wrote:Don't use Kaplan. I know I know, I've gotten the gist that Kaplan is the least prepatory in a few senses. Although, I'm an athlete and the NCAA is paying for the course, and I thought even for the resources (all the preptests, analysis of tests, etc) it would be worth it. But also I have both the power score bibles and have been working through those as well.

I haven't! I am registered for the October 5th LSAT, but I am NOT where I want to be yet. It' too late to get out of it, so I might as well take it and cancel the scores if I have a bad feeling. Regardless, I am 100% taking the December exam.Nova wrote:Have you taken the LSAT yet? Nice work on your GPA.DiniMae wrote:I am also applying this cycle. Good luck everyone!

I'm pretty much on the same boat. I'm aware that we can still withdraw until tomorrow at midnight, but I think I'm going to take it anyway. There's a 75% or so chance that I'll cancel, but I'm going to apply this year regardless, so I might as well take it, since I haven't used any of my 3 takes yet.DiniMae wrote:I haven't! The LSAT should be over for us East Coasters, here's hoping we're all happy when scores come back.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forums, just sat for the test yesterday. I felt really good about it, a little discouraged today but still feel certainly 165+ and probably 50/50 170+.
EDIT: Just did some reading around here, I jumped the gun too soon. I suppose LGBT doesn't seem to qualify as URM. Oh well, good luck to everyone anyway

I think the LSAT went well for me. Generally confident, but we shall see in three weeks. Just glad its over and done with...for now.
Apps are all done. Just waiting for my LSAT score. I also need to complete the final touches on my SEO application and plan my Houston trip for the Black Pre-Law Conference. I'm feeling excited!

Finally checking in!
I wish I were done with my apps. I underperformed on the October LSAT (misread a LG rule, did some bad guessing on LR and RC), so I'm studying for December. At least I've finally started working on my application. I originally wanted my apps in by the end of October, but if I did as badly on the LSAT as I think, I probably won't get to apply until January .

you must be psychic, you can tell you did some bad guessing without your score back.blackbirdfly wrote:Finally checking in!

I haven't started on my apps yet, but I'm hoping to get that all taken care of between now and Oct. 28th. Which schools are you applying to?John_rizzy_rawls wrote:Apps are almost done. Waiting for Fall grades to come out in late December to apply. Best of luck to everyone.

Cool! That's about my list, though I don't think I will apply to all of the T14. Good luck!John_rizzy_rawls wrote:T14, USC, UCLA, some other CA safeties.essyct wrote:I haven't started on my apps yet, but I'm hoping to get that all taken care of between now and Oct. 28th. MA male with very close GPA and same hopeful LSAT score. Interested in how your cycle turns out!lemons wrote:checking in!!
i'm a MA female from CA (ugrad in the midwest)... i have a 3.4 and i took the LSATs October... hoping for a 165+ but i'm only hesitantly optimistic. if i don't end up doing well i might retake in december or just wait for the next cycle. anyways, i'm going for T14 (maybe T20) or bust! Good luck everyone!
