Hey all, I need advice about the SEO email we all just received. Its asking for a letter of recommendation to make the file complete. I can either ask a professor or my internship (DOJ) coordinator for one.

I would prefer to ask my DOJ supervisor, but I just started last month so I wouldn't feel right asking until at least mid March. On the other hand I could ask my favorite professor now, and probably have it within the next couple of weeks or so.

I know SEO doesn't accept you until they get proof of enrollment, but would it be better to still get everything in ASAP?

Yes, the earlier the better for the LOR. Remember, they still have to read the LORs. Give them ample time to do this.

I was told to just submit one of the ones that you did for your law school applications, it doesn't need to be tailored at all. Luisa also confirmed this during the webinar.

I interviewed with them not too long ago. They mentioned something about around 3 spots in Houston, around 53+ in NYC and slightly fewer in San Fran.. If you have specific questions about the interview, feel free to PM me!

I also got this email. Is it really the sooner you get info in the better? I thought they don't give the app a second look until you've at least put down a deposit?

They don't place people until they send in proof of enrollment which, short of ED people, won't happen for a minute. And most minorities know better than to ED.

They are placing interns in the same firms they always do. A list of their partner firms can be found on their website.

I was a placed on priority track reserve yesterday at Duke.....it seems like a hold but it feels like a waitlist...like they haven't explicitly made a decision and say they will make one later, but does this hold after PT bode poorly for me? Feels that way

but for people (like apple) who made the decision between going to NYC or just skyping it:

I live in a 2 hour radius of NYC. I currently work in MA/VT/CT/NJ/PA/upstate NY.
I'd rather skype it but do you think that 2 hours is reasonable enough that they'd think that choosing to skype indicates that I don't want it enough?

Should I just go? Tips on how to prepare?

I don't think it will look bad if you decide on skype over in person. I mean it is a 4hr round trip after all.

Ive been held at a couple of schools this cycle so i know that feeling . However I do think it is a step above the waitlist and it is a sign that they will def look at your app again while a waitlist is more we will look only if we have space.
