I did. Do it. Better to have and not need it, than to need and not have.

I write the "lesson learned" essay. My numbers aren't great so I need to do what I can.

I think this described how I feel about optional essays perfectly.

I think the holiday season is making me less motivated than normal. I've already mentally checked out from work for next week. Must stay focused until I hit submit at least!

Sigh so here's how PT 63 went

LR1- Killing it...... yeah... this is going good bam!!!! -3
LG- This is simple, so easy... why is this easy? Oh crap, they're going to kill me with RC aren't they.... -1
LR2- These questions seem weird... answers choices seem weird... not certain... what the hell is this... are you kidding me.  -8
RC- Okay, I guess the hard section was LR2.... Kate Chopin.... wait.... what the freak..... I'm screwed. -7

So much for that 170....

So, my recommender asked me for a paper showing my score from the October LSAT. I gave him a printout of the LSAC sheet that lists my score and my LSAC number, but he wants something with my name on it, and he wants something in pdf format, or in some format that will print cleaner.

Any idea how I can get something like this?

You should be able to log into your LSAC account and access your Item Response Report on the LSAT Status page. That'll have your name and LSAT score, but it also has a list of all your question responses. Just save that as a pdf and email it to the recommender.

Odd request, sounds like he/she doesn't want to believe you scored that high.

You could also print out the email that they sent you with your score.

What the hell does that have to do with a letter of rec?

Yeah, I don't know. I do think it's an odd request. I'm not sure what he'd want with my LSAT score--I doubt he intends to include it in the letter.

I'm gonna send the LSAC e-mail and hope that it's enough.

That would have been a 164. That's a very good score. Nothing to be upset about.
