Apple, I'm curious if you're AA or a different URM? I'm trying to track the priority acceptances coming from Duke.
Also, congrats!

Ok so question about your resumes. I had like 10 different on campus jobs during undergraduate to try and stay afloat, how do I pick and choose which ones are resume worthy?
Not 10 at the same time, some overlap. Lots of them were temporary, grant dependent positions so it wasnt like I was fired or jumped around on purpose.

Put some of them under the educational portion of your resume, specifically ones with an academic purpose or "bend" to them. Especially if they were short term jobs you got on campus.mandyjay11 wrote:Ok so question about your resumes. I would eliminate the ones where you didn't gain any substantive skills first.mandyjay11 wrote:Ok so question about your resumes. I had like 10 different on campus jobs during undergraduate to try and stay afloat, how do I pick and choose which ones are resume worthy?

I'm applying for AnBryce and a couple of the RTK public interest scholarships. NYU is my top choice so i'm trying to make my app perfect. Its hard to find much examples for it tho.AAJD2B wrote:Is anyone applying for the AnBryce scholarship at NYU? I need to get that essay done.
It's weird that my PS, DS and apps are pretty much done but I still have so much to do. The goal is to send out my first batch of apps to all my reach schools come November 1st no matter my LSAT score (well, not really....I won't send out with a sub-160).
Oh and is anyone considering applying to Canadian law schools? I think I will.

Thank you all. Duke's PT program is a blessing because you get a non-binding decision in ten days.

Did anyone get a Harvard BLSA email today? My heart just about jumped out of my chest, I thought it was a JS1 email -- still cool nonetheless

Nice!!!! What did it say???? I am infatuated with Harvard's BLSA. I can so see myself being fully engaged in that association. Sigh.californiauser wrote:Did anyone get a Harvard BLSA email today? My heart just about jumped out of my chest, I thought it was a JS1 email -- still cool nonetheless

Yup I got it. I haven't sent in my app yet so I didn't even think about the people waiting for JS1s.californiauser wrote:Did anyone get a Harvard BLSA email today? My heart just about jumped out of my chest, I thought it was a JS1 email -- still cool nonetheless

Re: URM 2013-2014 Cycle Thread
Early Decisions question.
So I have been narrowing my schools down (no money to waste on schools I wouldnt want to attend) and I have pretty clear number 1 (NYU). My numbers have me as a reach so I think the ED would help. I plan on retaking in December but would have to ED beforehand.
Oh and I have no money but would be able to live at home (reluctantly).

Given your numbers on your profile I say go ahead and ED to NYU. It appears you applied later in the cycle, hence your waitlist. I think you will get in this time around.Quan292 wrote:Early Decisions question.

That said, choose two/three backup schools in the event NYU doesn't pan out...perhaps two or three of Columbia, UPenn, UVA, Michigan or Cornell?

Is your home in Manhattan? Half the allure of NYU is the Village and it would be a huge detriment to have to subway home every day/night.Quan292 wrote:Early Decisions question.

Do you mind me asking what you think you did wrong last cycle that is making you try again this year? (according the LSN, it looks like you applied last year)

Should I go ahead and send my apps off, even if I plan on taking the Decemember LSAT? Do you all think it would make any difference?
