That'll probably be it, because yeah...I'm not made of money. haha
This might be a dumb question, but what is the yield protect thing?

I am also going to visit Penn, I signed up for the info session this month.
We're here to learn! YP is when schools reject you because they'd like to boost their numbers--in this case, selectivity. It affects URMs specifically because some of us have borderline numbers. Some URMs have experienced being accepted into one or two of HYSCCN and rejected from all of MVP. :O
True. I wrote why statements for MVP and a few other t14s. Everyone definitely should as well.

Has anyone submitted their SEO application yet? I submitted the first part of the application, but not the second.

Glad this thread has picked up a bit. I decided to postpone the LSAT till December since my PT scores weren't consistently above 165+. I've been taking this whole week off to get a breather and work on my PS and DS.

Once I have a good draft, would anyone here want to exchange statements?

Checking in. Im in the midst of doing the whole request fee waiver thing right now. This 25 per app is still going to kill me and that is if I get all the fee waiver apps I'm asking for.

Yeah, this is a big deal for me too! I was going to blanket the entire T14, but now I'm not so sure.

I was thinking the same thing, that really adds up! I think i am going to apply in waves as I get paid. I will probably only pay full price for 2 apps that I have yet to get waivers for.

Anyone attending the on-campus visitation at Columbia Law this coming Monday? I have the day off due to Columbus Day and will definitely be there. I am also looking forward to the invite after the info session with Columbia's affinity groups.

I sat October and feel super confident about it. I figured if I scored a 165 or higher, I am calling it a day. I really don't want to retake.

I should have called it a day after my first LSAT, but I went in to take it again on Saturday and had to cancel

I wish I could go this Monday, but I started planning for it too late. Columbus Day really would have been the perfect time. You know, 3 day weekend and all. I'll be checking out Columbia in a couple of weeks. Have fun and let me (us?) know how it goes.

I can't retake in december. It's the Saturday before final exams.

So is anyone not doing a DS cause their PS covers that aspect of their candidacy? Is it disadvantageous to not submit a DS? I feel my PS covers my diversity pretty succinctly.

Also, anyone up to trade/review?

I'd imagine that you're exposing yourself to a possible disadvantage unnecessarily. Just do this DS.

Also, I haven't even started on my PS or DS. I guess I should start soon. When I do, I'll PM you to trade.

By the way, your 'tar is sooo dope.

Really!? Cause I'm not sure what else I would write. I have the "I'm a poor Mexican from the hood" thing down, so I guess I will have to check out some examples!

My tar is the label for a beer called Zombie Dust by a brewery called Three Floyds. They're from the part of Indiana I'm from. If you like craft beer definitely google them.

Look forward to your PM!

Hope everyone is good, i don't really know how i feel about October test cos i feel like i bombed it so i'm retaking in December. Been studying and approaching it like its any other test i have taken. I think the stress of the test made me overthink it. Now that i feel like its a test i can conquer, i'm more relaxed. Hopefully a 165+ come Dec.

I'm a big beer snob, and that's one of my favorite beers! I love FFF.

I check my email all the time even though I'm positive admissions decisions won't be given out this early.
