I applied to several members of the T6-20 on November 1, but I haven't heard ANYTHING whatsoever from them. Tell me, was I being overly ambitious? :(

Usually I'd say 'I have great softs' but that was back when I was bright eyed and bushy-tailed and actually thought stuff other than numbers mattered.

Softs usually dont overcome numbers, but they do matter when your numbers are in range, especially for URMs below both medians (because all below both median candidates affect medians the same way).

Based on LSN, it looks like you should get one of UT/Vandy/USC.

Decent shot at Cornell. 6-13 are all reaches.

If you don't get into the schools you want this cycle, I would recommend retaking and applying next cycle. If you increase your score to 165, or even 170, you will open a lot of doors.

Will definitely consider that:) Let's hope it doesn't happen that way though. Hopefully since this cycle is supposedly all weird the schools will dig a little deeper.

+1

Retaking in June may be a good strategy for you. Then you can weigh your new score against your offers. a June score can sometimes also get you off the waitlist and $$ this cycle.

For now, can I at least assume no news is good news? I'll be upset it they hold on to the apps only to reject me.

Yeah, its a good sign. They are definitely considering your app.

Youll probably waiting for a while on several though. Below both median seats are often some the last ones filled. Schools usually want to see how the rest of their class shapes up so they know how many below both median applicants they can admit without hurting their medians.

Not at all. There was an AA female with your numbers a few cycles ago that landed NYU, amongst others T10s, with similar numbers.

Just be patient. :)
