Once I have an LSAT score I'll detail in the 2013-2014 URM thread which often gets started right before the June LSAT.John_rizzy_rawls wrote:#s?

Thank you! No stips? No stipend? To be honest, I am not entirely sure. I just know its 50k/yr.BlaqBella wrote:Exciting news. Congrats on the scholly! most ppl form my js1 date received a js2 yesterday, but I wasnt so lucky. I'm currently at work staring at my cell phone and trying not to cry. Is any one else in the same boat? I'm trying to remain hopeful, but its so very hard

I know it is easier said than done, but keep your head up. There was someone who recently received a JS2, and their JS1 was in early November! There is every reason to be hopeful; it is still so very early. Try to put it out of your mind now, so that it doesn't make you crazy. (Although I readily admit I would have a tough time doing just that.)xpxgymnxpx wrote:most ppl form my js1 date received a js2 yesterday, but I wasnt so lucky. Wait listed at UVA. Hopefully Cornell,NU,and Georgetown give me more love. Tempted to throw and app at duke, but they want me to explain my interest in the school before getting a fee waiver... I haven't researched nor do I know how much info they are looking for. Any thoughts?

Go to their website and research the school, professors, clinics, clubs and organizations and form an idea of what is attractive about the school and what intersects with your interest. Then, simply write about it. I think all admissions offices are aware that it is difficult to map out why them or your career. But, showing you did SOME research and have SOME interest will probably do. It might take an hour or two, but you'll to save $75.Dmini7 wrote:Wait listed at UVA. Just got my first acceptance at Richmond! The dean hinted that there's money coming which would be great because I'm broke. Hopefully more are coming but I'll be less anxious knowing that I'm definitely going somewhere.

I am in the same boat as you are 12/21 invite, 1/4 interview. EttaJ's advice is great and even though I know it is true, I am still really bummed.xpxgymnxpx wrote:most ppl form my js1 date received a js2 yesterday, but I wasnt so lucky. Oh yeah, forgot to mention they waitlisted me, but that's okay. If it wasn't meant to be then that's life and I still will have a lot of thinking to do with things as they are .

I am so desperate for them it's not even funny. I feel like a hooker trying to sell my body to get what I want, then realizing high class individuals want escorts and not prostitutes. With that said, how long should I wait till I do a LOCI. Being a full time student with 30 hours a week for an internship and 30 for work make studying for the LSAT impossible for February, so I may end up sitting out this cycle if it doesn't work out well. By I am still hopeful. With that said, congrats to all the acceptances so farWormfather wrote:I just cant belive that they waitlisted you ED with your numbers. I would have though that they would have snapped you up and laughed at H-CCN for stealing you.Dmini7 wrote:Wait listed at UVA. Hopefully Cornell,NU,and Georgetown give me more love. I'm also a member of this boat. I've actually gone through all five phases of depression in 24 hours. (Btw, I'm gaining hope knowing I'm not alone)

I am finding solace in knowing that i am not alone in this 12/21 invite 1/4 interview group. Maybe there is still hope after all. If not, I'm not sure I'm ready for the deep depression that I'm about encounter.mommalee wrote:I am in the same boat as you are 12/21 invite, 1/4 interview.
